Through the Looking Glass

Through the Looking Glass

Through the Looking Glass

Through the looking glass, I see an apparition

A ghostly representation of masculine form

A hazy figure comes to the foreground

What was once only but a dream, wishes and hope….

Pinned on an Ideal…

Grew into Fruition

A fantastical being made into actuality

And on the other side the sun shines through the rain…

A window of infinite possibilities….

A  view to that which has not yet become…

A greater love than I have ever known…

More than potential, better than probability, beyond conceivable…

My fate

And Through the looking glass

I see that ever so knowing smirk of a smile

That which melts the plastic components of my robotics Corazon

The cyberknetic engineers did not plan for such a fail safe ….

Machines don’t have feelings…

And so I shed the upgrades,

Trade in the metallic body armor…

And unplug from the power source…

I am flesh….

Naked, Raw and Pink with anticipation…

An evolved emotive creature, I stand before the looking glass

Patiently my hand rests on the surface…

My core which pumps the crimson red blood, now beats to a slow soft rhythm

Longing, Yearning, Aching, Craving…

That Vision of you…

2

But Destiny is cruel…

She granted me this mystical looking glass…

That which brought you to me…

Yet separates us at the scenes….

Taunting and Teasing, it is to see you, to hear your voice…

But to not to be held by you…

Oh how this former machine burns!

Like a softly smoldering flame

Gradually building to an enraging inferno

Ready to swallow a whole area code….

(Sigh)

Alas…. the Glass will not melt…

And I will not pour on the gasoline…

Nor throw in the kindling or add the tinder…

No…I will wait …

By the looking glass

Till the sands of time, dissolve the barrier

And the Gods grant their permission

And we can be intertwined
