my ice fortress

my ice fortress

A Poem by christopher fox
"

Sleeping in a garage gets cold.

"
My ice fortress
Like superman I stay
Hiding from my
Troubles
If only this day.
Never escaping the chill
That luls me to sleep
Finding just enough light
To write and read.
The southern wind
Strong
That I feel through
The cracks
Good thing I have
This hat
And many strong wraps
The quiet is evasive
But through it I think
Working out my life
In memories I'd rather
Not keep.
The pass and fail
Approach
That I know too well.
Would be nice to succeed
As the scales tip
And tell.
I'm glad this fortress
Is solid
As it would freeze
Over hell.
My own special spot
That I can dwell.
