Painting

Painting

A Poem by christopher fox
"

Written in 2007.

"

I started my painting
with the steak of my brush
done drew what I imagined
and thought I was done

I came back later
it had not changed
I was sad for MY masterpiece
so I let it be

some days later
I set it on the street
hopeful that someone else
would finish it for me

everyday after
new colors took shape
I was disarrayed
at the elegance that stood before me

fear ripped me
for the work was not mine
because I sold that piece
at a very high price

so everyday after
I stood on the street
I was mad! Angry!
That no one would finish ME for me

I'm 24 and have been writing my whole life. I began to share my work in 2014, and haven't gotten the performance side down just yet. I was on episode 703 "Shock" of the Risk podcast, and that record.. more..
