great nigeria

great nigeria

A Poem by Crosby Idasa
"

my country

"

She carries the heart of a great nation, she never fails her people, and she supports others
"Nigeria" is her name

Oh, she is beautiful, wealthy, and she is black!
Just like the crude oil
The Giant of Africa, just like they call her...

She deserves all the praises, but her heart is pained!
Blessed but our past leaders loot and misuse her resources

She have been through alot, was it the then civil war, the Niger delta militancy fight, the ongoing IPOB struggle, the Fulani & herdsmen disturbance or the Boko Haram terror...
You know, it hurts but she is brave and powerful!

The past Government keep failing their promises, right from the time of the military to this time of democracy...
Putting her people on different dimension, direction, and decision but the present Government is now making things better and putting the country in the right status!

Tribal violence here and there, the strikes and other numerous violating stuffs keep happening... she broke out of economical recession
But still she stands firm...

She is powerful, she is not dividing, she bears it all, that is how stronger & greater she becomes
Her name is "Nigeria"

God bless Naija. The past leaders indeed have misused and abused all her resources. And some of them still have influence till this day. The hope is that the younger generations break that cycle. And I believe they will and it's manifesting itself already. Nice one.

A proud write about your homeland Crosby. I sincerely hope that the outlook continues to improve with the future. It is a great pity we hear more about the corruption than the positives.

Your expression of patriotism shines the light on the past. You did a wonderful job reminding the reader that the land remains pure and strong and she patiently waits for her peoples to join her.

I love the positive energy and the drive in your words. You honor Nigeria and yourself. A country will struggle. We hope, in the end. Become one in spirit and in hope. Thank you Crosby for sharing the outstanding poetry.
