I'm Not

I'm Not

A Poem by Crystal Marie Rome
"

These are the lyrics for the song I wrote in my songwriting class. Hope you like it and please review! :)

"

So I'm never gonna be good enough,

No matter how hard I try,

With your standards,

Your rules,

Your image of me,

Perfections not a thing you can buy.

You question me till I've had enough,

I tell you I'd never lie,

Cuz your standards,

Your rules,

Your image of me,

Hold me so tight I just might die.

(Chorus)

I'm not gonna call you back,

I'll never look at your texts,

My facebook you'll never track,

I'm not gonna pass your tests.

So this is me saying I've had enough

I'm finally done trying,

With your standards,

Your rules,

Your image of me,

Honey, there's been too much crying.

(Chorus)

People expect so much,

Even you telling me,

Do more than you can do,

Well I tell you I've had enough,

Of you telling me what to do,

I'm not gonna listen anymore.

So I'm never gonna be good enough,

Well honey that's fine by me,

Cuz your standards,

Your rules,

Your image of me,

Is something I will never be.
