The Homerun of Life

It takes work to reach success

Bat at hand,

You see the ball.

You take your stand.

 

Three tries to make this right,

First swing...miss!

You feel the might.

Second swing..miss!

You hold on tight.

Third swing..bam!

You hit the ball.

You made your stand.

 

Crowd goes wild

As you start to run.

Almost at home base.

Gee, isn't this fun?

 

You reach home and you see

What you have accomplished,

You are filled with glee!

 

You go back to see your friends,

The ones that mocked you, all along.

For them to only see.

You made your life, you belong.
