Did You Forget?

Did You Forget?

A Poem by Shiningwolf

We had so much planned

A baby on the way

Why did you do this?

Why did you have to stray?

We had our future

Full of good laughs

Why did you go?

Why did you leave the path?

Did you forget what we had?

Or all the good times

We used to laugh

And your laugh was my chime.

Did you forget our future?

What we did to get this far?

All the times we went through

Ever since we left in that car.

Did you forget our love?

We used to be so strong

I guess that was a lie

All along.

Now I am standing here

Wondering why you took that knife

Now I'll never know what you felt

As you leave this life.

Oh my goodness, This is such a painful but beautiful poem, it saddens my heart to know people would actually do that. Life is hard, Life is a b***h, We stand life head on. Life is hard, But NOT impossible.

Love the ending really didn't see that coming what so ever, but this is really good almost ominous or kind of telling a story to the point where I want to know what happened, how, and why
very good poem

I liked the ending, it's different that I expected, this poem was really tragic...
you captured all these feelings in a neat way, wonderful job.

This was so sad. I can't believe the ending. I don't think I was expecting it, either. Brilliant!

Betrayal hurts. I really like the title, it conveys confusion, hurt, pain, and maybe a feeling of incredulousness.

Wow - a shocking twist at the end but brilliantly written. The only thing that is bugging me is that you used 'here' twice in one line with 'Now here I am standing here'. However apart from that it was a very good poem, nice job!

The honesty and emotion in this poem is wonderful. I feel the pain and I can def relate to a certain extent. Frustration and wondering, anger and sadness. Well written and great.
