Why are people panic buying toilet rolls?

Why

25 September 2020

12:45

The government has clamped down on peoples movements because of the virus.

People are panic buying

Yes I understand they want to make sure they dont run out of essential items

What are the buying

Toilet rolls and kitchen rolls

What about food?

No

Why toilet rolls?

When we were little we cut up old newspapers into toilet roll sized sheets and

fastened them close by on a nail or string

Why toilet rolls and Kitchen rolls

I never really understood why toilet paper, when food is also an essential. But I did see people walking out of supermarkets with 50 rolls of toilet paper; I call that HOARDING. And once someone doe it, it becomes like a fad, and the shelves are empty; I guess that's just human nature! Nice write!

Your words are bang on true as true.. had that down in the SW way back, as someone local said, 'There's going to be a hell of a lot of letter writing due!' Perverted me is still wondering what people might have written if asked end of last year what would be items on a list of essential shopping? Market research amongst family/friends resulted in: booze, chocolate, hangover cures and indigestion tablets. As said below, even those items added to the loo paper hoarding makes for odd reasoning!

Fun sort of post even if seriously posted
