tight

tight

A Poem by Pale Rose

tight in heart and body both,

all constricted flesh, flushed

of all desire to feel more.

sickly sweet coated fingers,

squeezed tighter by years, kept

on the inside where it counts.

so come in where it's warm,

within the tight, but

“you & I” won’t fit.

wet fingers wiping tears,

spreading the filth, over

anguish-crawled skin.

threatened with sin

I hide within--tight

squeezing out the life.

What cruel misery this,

wanting what I've never had.
