I Choose You

I Choose You

A Poem by DC Gentleman

I didn’t fall for you
I wasn’t tripped
Didn’t drift
Didn’t slip
I didn’t accidentally feel
Emotions
Based on the sensation of your lips
The vast oceans in your hips
This bliss
Was written in Sanskrit
Before our first glance
First dance
Our first kiss
Before we were born
And when we’re dead and gone
This love will live on
A silhouette of
Your perfect frame
Whispered my name
Across time
Divinely designating
You
Mine
Your perfect imperfections
Cherished
I live to hear the sweet octaves
Of your voice
My soul is convinced
Not because you seduced

See… love is a choice

As our darks become grays
Every second of every day
The scent of our love shall remain new
Thru
Ups, downs…
Highs…. Lows…
Because my heart depends on it

Love is a choice

And I’ll always choose you
