BETRAYAL

BETRAYAL

A Poem by Olufix

Betrayal stings like a bee.
So harmless it can kill.
The one close armed himself.
A Judas in disguise.
A friendship parted in delight.
O betrayal, how deadly thy sting!
How did it come to this?
From chuckle to battle.

Trust is distorted.
Betrayal is rewarded.
Desire for peace flees.
The heart's in pieces.
O Betrayal, how deadly thy sting!
Their hands wilt never meet.
