Winter Night

Winter Night

A Poem by DMCMaster550
"

Short horrible poetry courtesies of my writers block

"

Everything's gonna turn black and white
When it all crosses over
And in this hell
The heroes are gonna sell
Their own to evil
And the sugar kiss is dancing along with the devil.

Tomorrow brings me great grief
Today just adds to the last memory of an old serenity
She's gone too far
Past the point of any return
The final ritual of rites passage
Kills me again tonight.

The night winter is as dark as it is white
I'm the underdog in this game being played
The comfort unwilling
Will consume only the clean
And I the un-cleansed soul
Will never know the meaningful sight
Of the winter of night
Today I've come down
Tomorrow I'll no longer be around.

I'll cut open the scars
And let my blood drip out
It leaves a copper taste of dandelion death
It's all I have and all I can ever give
To leave right now while there's no showing of any time to live.
