Grounded

My angle has protected me
Guarding me from afar
Though I have felt pain
I have strength to go on
Sorrows have slowed me down
But I don't face them alone
The sadness somehow shared
And my spirits have lifted
My energies have recharged
Now I have begun to notice
There is an absence in the sky
My guardian from a high
Carries a weight I no longer feel
And a burden so heavy
My angel is now grounded
