The 14th House

The 14th House

A Poem by Daedalus
"

A poem that is supposed to be almost lyrical in response to a 'story' I wrote called "La Maison De Fou".

"

Look in the night to the starry sky,

Pass all thirteen houses of the zodiac by,

With special eyes and the wrong mind,

A fourteenth sign is what you will find,

The house of nothing, the house of all,

The house of rise and the house of fall,

The house of many and the house of few,

The 14th house: La maison de fou!

Look! Rampant chaos, all around;

The band is playing without making a sound,

There, a snake standing up on the tip of its tail,

See the plant with teeth, devouring a snail,

The house where up is really down,

The house where the beggar wears a crown,

The house where the old is really the new,

The 14th house: La maison de fou!
