Beaten Senseless

Beaten Senseless

A Poem by Poetic Injustice

I've felt the highs and the lows

Passionate kisses between body blows

Against the ropes, is this a clinch or a hug?

Leaving myself open in the throes

But I'm certainly not out for good

And this should be understood

I'm not a fighter, I'm a lover you see

And I stay true to love, as I should

I'm strong enough to keep going

And on I will go, ever showing

That a man's heart can take a beating, as well

And there's still one out there that's worth knowing

every heart needs to be able to take a beating, cause they are going to come with love. Just part of the package. Probably the part that makes us grow the most into what love really is.

This one a tear jerker for me. Is there really people who can see past anothers lashing out long enough to see and want to know the person underneath. I like this one. Thanks for sharing it.
