A Meditation On Autumn

A Meditation On Autumn

A Poem by DAH

Within the orange colored mist

from the air’s autumn aura

floating leaves sail the moisture

the ground has broken into pumpkins

Makes me want to break out the hoodie, although here in phoenix, probably not quite time yet. This evokes that subtle change in the quality of light that comes with autumn. Also the smell of new tough skin jeans for back to school and and the lace of impending romance, at least for me. Really awesome write, it did its job for sure.

a wonderful meditation, Autumn is my favourite time of year for wandering the forest, nothing to do with magic mushroom season, lol,

Thank you, RE!
Love your use of orange & pumpkin colors (implying everything in between). Third line is sublime in its dynamic simplicity. Your last line is rowdy with uninhibited imagery! Your meditation definitely rinses us with autumn's aura! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I just returned from the Outer Banks. Heading north through the mountains of West Virginia I was surprised with the number of pumpkins filling the fruit stands. The leaves are starting to turn ... the air is getting crisp ... and your words elicit that sense of the approaching change of season.

A season I enjoy as I do your poem.
Well done, DAH
