There In The Midnight Low

There In The Midnight Low

A Poem by Chasing Cars and Daydreams

There in the midnight low danced the lonely girl.
Her barren feet carried her delicate frame in a way
That resembled a sparrow gliding through twilight breeze.

There in the midnight low lurked the endeared man.
His brown eyes glimmered with lust,
something the lonely girl never saw before.

There in the midnight low the man stepped out to face the lonely girl.
Her barren feet backed away from the man whos eyes were stained with
Insatiable lust.

There in the midnight low the man grabbed the girls waist
His body slowly dancing to the rhythm of her heartbeat.
At first the little sparrow was stilled but she felt safe.

There in the midnight low the hawk and the sparrow
The predator and the prey danced together
Among the midnight gale.

Author's Note

Chasing Cars and Daydreams
My poetry usually ends up being based on a dancer or around dance. I'm still trying to figure out why. I often end up writing my poetry in an older style, using words such as Shall and Thy just flow better in my mind and I believe is still best for poetry.
