Mummy and Daddy

Mummy and Daddy

A Story by Dalebear

Mummy and daddy I am your son

Did you just give birth to me just for fun?

What made you hate me instead?

Did you ever hear “I love you" from the words I said?

I would run away from you, but you come and chase

Then you would batter my face

Why did you pull me apart?

You destroyed my small heart

Age of three I have been alone

It was my heart you pulled out and thrown

But I can do is cry

At night I dream of the never ending sky

As I sit watching the rain

Trying to forget all the pain

From all the upset that destroying my soul

Because it from all your abuse it burnt a hole

My blue eyes fill up with tears

Remembering all my childish fears

Of being abused and neglected

No one wanting me and being rejected

Years on I’m still damaged

But daddy and mummy somedays I can manage

A very powerful poem Dalebear. Brilliantly written and heartfelt.
I really liked the last line

"But daddy and mummy somedays I can manage"

Yes darling you can manage and you manage very very well.
You get stronger and stronger every day. And before you know it you will have more good days than bad days!!!!!

I admire your strength Dalebear. I know that you can't see your strength Dalebear but others can.
Just look at how far you have come from that little 3 year old boy to now. Now that takes strength and determination Dalebear.
And I couldn't be more proud of you if I tried.

I totally agree with what Serah jha has written in your first review of this poem.

Congratulations, you are a winner son.
I am so proud to be your new mummy. It is a honour and I am totally privileged to love you and to be loved by you too.

Thank you for sharing this poem with me and with the world baby boy.
You are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo very very talented Dalebear.

My love always

. oh, dale ... yes, you can manage ... and you're managing absolutely beautifully ... inspiring us to manage too ... it takes a lot to take care of the damage ... and i know that from personal experience ... but one day ... none of this will remain ... and the only consequence of that damage will be that you'll want to help those who are suffering from similar pain ...
