Not an actual story, just a single sentence written for a contest, taken from a book I'm in the process of writing. Feel free to review it, though.

Sentence or not I like it just the way it is. Writing is meant to capture a mood or sentiment no be grammatically postured. It looses its appeal with more words added to it. Not attacking just stating my opinion.

For a small sentence it has so much meaning...stunning! love it!

This is not technically a sentence. You have two independent clauses stuck together with a comma. "You lit the match. I just like to watch it burn." would be correct, but you could also combine them into "You lit the match; I just like to watch it burn."
