Pre-face

"I want to know?" he persisted, "what makes you push everyone away?"

if only he could understand

"You honestly don't," i continued. He'll only leave like the others. Jasper looked up at me through his beautiful eyes, a sparkying blue left eye and a innocent brown to the right.

"Please?" He looked at me through his eyelashes, flashing his beautiful smile. The one i can;t resist.

"You would leave me." like everyone else.

"I might suprise you." He pushed hopefully.

Tears sprang over my contacts, threatening to slip out and show my secret. I forced them back, vigorously shaking my head. Jasper sighed.

"You know my secret."

I glanced at him, suprised by the sudden sorrow in his voice. If only mine was that simple.

"That you were tortured by witches?" I played ignorant.

"You say it so lightly." he tensed, flinching away from my supportive touch.

Sighing I said, "Will you hear me out, hear out my......." my voice caught. What was I doing. "My story starts with this." GOD! I slid out my brown contacts revealing everything I had hidden for so long. My true self, my curse.
