Deleting You

Deleting You

A Story by Tasha

We've seen each other at school,
I never knew who you were
until you added me on facebook,
you started talking,
and we haven't stopped talking
since

I thought you were different,
you came up and introduced
yourself to me in person,
you made me feel like
no other guy has made me feel,

But on the computer,
you're a completely different person
talking in ways that I can't
comprehend,
ignoring me when I want to chat,
I want to get to the bottom of this
surely you understand

I guess you don't, you only want
one thing,
and  one thing only
but I'm not ready to give that up
especially not to you,
when I hardly even  know you

So I'm deleting you
and never looking back,

You can avoid me in the halls,
and deny what you tried to do to me,
but you can't live in denial
for the rest of your life

I'm deleting you,
and better yet I'm blocking you,
and when you look my way
I'll stare you down,
so you can live in the guilt
that you tried to make me
feel for you,

You'll never become my friend again,
you selfish low life!
I can't believe I trusted you

At least I deleted you from my life
before you won "the game"...

I love this write. It tells a good story, and I find that that is lacking in alot of poetry. Good for you for finding something to write a touching poem about that is unique! I like the way you tell the story throught the poem too, the wording is excellent!

good story Thank you for sharing this, knowledge is the first step in righting wrongs.
, but from the other end I think most of us can relate to being "deleted" at some point in time, sometimes for unknown reasons.

There are so many girls getting harrassed on the sites like Facebook and Myspace. They are so trusting and they get abused with the wrong person. I like this poem you said alot.

This is awesome. It expresses the situation of girls who are harassed online perfectly.

Wherever the inspiration came from you penned a teenage experience with very real emotion beautifully!

Undermining and manipulation are very prominent traits of the human behavior, unfortunately. They're bundled with that other ugly trait... Deception. Yes, a fact of life is that people, more often than not, only seem to befriend others for self gains. Whatever those gains might be. Another fact, is that it does take it's toll on our ability to trust others. The old adage, 'Burn me once, burn me twice.' comes to mind. Just remember, the only way to find the Golden Ticket is to keep opening candy bars to see what's inside. Eventually, you'll find that gem. ;) Outstanding, heartfelt piece.

Isn't interesting in this time we live in that we "delete" people? Thank goodness we can't delete them in real life but when we don't pay attention to them perhaps they feel deleted. A good story and stand your ground.

You'll never become my friend again,
you selfish low life!--- i liked this line alot.

I do agree with Crayon. Try putting some more twists by putting words together and making them sound magical to the ear. But not bad for a 16-year-old... Keep it up..
