Wite-out

Wite-out

A Poem by Tasha

Everything that I thought you were...
I white it out,
I white it out from my mind,
I laugh to keep from crying

The bold black lies you told
are erased from my memory
with a streak of wite-out

The constant wondering of where I was
was for you to know where to not go
with somebody else...
I use my wite-out..

I wish I had  listen to my friends
Instead I chose to white them out of the equation,
because it was none of their business
I now see that you are the same player
everyone else said you were...

I've got every type of wite-out
to get rid of you...
the regular, pen, and tape...
so begone you scumbag
because I've whitted you out of my life

I wanted to try something different, I used wite-out as a way to "delete" someone out of their life.

That is an interesting idea. The white out makes the slate clean and free for new things. It makes a page writable again so new things can be put on it.

While whiteout can take things away on the surface, the things it cover still exits. Like those people still exists. The rolls they played in a persons life remain in memory. The way they shape a person are there as well.

Yet, it is a decent way of moving on. It takes a person out of the past and into the future so they can make new things. That is a good thing in the moment, but in the long run one has to mend what is underneath.

This is very nice, I loved the theme you used with white out. I think it shows that you are a strong, you're saying that you are ready to let them go to block them.

That is not always an easy thing to do, even when you know you really should, it still hurts you on a personal level even if you seem fine on the outside..

I would just like to say be careful with white out, yes it may cover them and block them out, but it can leave the surface a little rough. You should always prepare for the splotches afterwards...... - Amazing write.

it would be nice to be able to erase with white out the bad people and memories. I like the desire and the story in the poem. A very good ending to a excellent poem.

This is excellent, a wonderful metaphor and obviously the symbolic nature of the colours black and white work to heighten the mood and theme of the the poem.
I really enjoyed this :)

Wow! A simple and splendid way of trying to forget someone. Aah, if it were so easy to just white out people in our lives, it would be a much simpler world. Alas, that is not so, and the world is not that simple. But the poem gives more depth than it lets on. Great poem!

Cool, I wish that worked. I had an image of doing this literally while reading your poem, following someone around with some white-out trying to paint it all over them haha. Its a good idea I say.

Great idea you came up with here. Keep at it. Great punctuation too by the way, Mr. Smith always taught me that that was important in poetry as well as prose.

Very clever way to put it. I love the almost bitter tone. This really seems to show that you're stronger after your struggles. Hopefully that white-out really had a part in that. Great job ^^
