Read Between The Lies

A mystery you are..

The story you told me seemed so real,

The way everything fell into place 

You were a story worth reading

But now its not even worth looking at,

I had to research because you never told me

Who you really were,

I read between the lies

To see if you spoke the truth

I read and reread the story

Making sure I processed it correctly

Only to figure out it was lies you tried to 

Cover up with more lies,

So your story appeared  to be nonfiction

But really was fiction

I read between the lies

To save myself from heartbreak
