The Opposing Void

The Opposing Void

A Poem by Lucas Grasha

The poet becomes the words he made,

the son becomes the father he hates.

The loud became the quiet it fears,

emotionally void become ones held dear.

The pen becomes the sword it blames,

vibrant becomes its countering drained.

The coward becomes the hero, so brave,

life becomes conformed to graves.

The apathetic become the ones to care,

the happy give the cold, dead stares.

The ones of faith become without,

the lame come to walk about.

Nature turns to polluted skies,

life becomes the face to die.

But are we different from any of them?

As sonnets play, they should remind again.

Full of eloquence and very much like the rhythm. I definitely get the opposition as you kept it consistent. Awesome. Added it to my library.

Awesome poem. I can't really think of a good way to describe how amazing this is, so I'll quote your poem at you: "The pen becomes the sword it blames" (my favorite line)

Short. Punctual. A story told. Once again, well done.

About
I've chosen in life to use the pen in place of the sword; or rather, the giving in place of giving up. I believe that I do possess a talent, but that opinion is only mine; if you would please (if you .. more..
