The fall of a hometown hero

The fall of a hometown hero

A Poem by DanielGalford
"

My first acrostic

"
Where did everyone go?
How did I end up here's?
Everyone use to love me, I
never thought I'd be alone.

I use to be loved, I
was a hero, people looked up to me. I was
a favorite, fourteen in the books, number one in their hearts.
Something isn't right.

All it took was a fall.
Leaving was easier than helping me up.
I don’t blame them, no one wants to see a cripple struggle.
Victory can be a curse, because once you have it, you don't know how to
Exist without it.
