Wilt

Wilt

A Poem by Complex Disaster
"

My new song, nothing too fancy just straight to the point

"

Far from sight, if just this time

Burn this light

Far from sight, it runs me blind

So burn this mind

Where want is not

Will is pathetic

And this far from home

You'll never regret it

Too drunk and dumb to care, what might have followed us home from there

Burning eyes, show dying inside

Peel these streets

Blistered eyes breathe tonight

Tear these seams

Where want is not

Will is pathetic

And this far from home

You'll never regret it

Is soul really there?

I forgot to care

Is control really there?

I never cared to care what might have followed us home from there

I like the third stanza. My only critique would be the last line. I kind of stumble over the cared to care line. I would love to hear the finished song.
