A Time Of Joy

A simple poem about the value of the time of our life, and how we so often do not properly value it.

A Time Of Joy

Moment after moment ticking away

Time adding up to yet another day

Day after day keeps passing away

I did not value the time of my days

Young and foolish I did not give time its due

Time offered nothing stopped not for me and flew

Time unchecked is a torrent rushing very fast

I did not realize its speed until it was past

I take the time to experience the moment I am in

For the first time I value time and not regret it has been

Valuing this moment time no longer runs from me

Time stops and for a moment gives its joy to me.
