Awakening

Drum beat of heart
calling to my soul
dances of praise
of once upon a time
I know

Painted faces
songs gushing from heart
listening to the pieces
that have not departed
from my soul

Hearing the echo of the winds
that rejoice
distant memories now
become the noise of drums
connections felt strong and true

Playing the pieces
of the drum beats flow
rapture exists here no more
as I dance in the night sky

Remembrance of my ghost song
so bold and true
beautiful awakening
upon the morning dew
