Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by DarkShines

Your static groans

Fill my head

Your silent screams

Echoed by the dead

Blink if you can see me

The shallow beeping

Conforming to one

The lights go out

What's done is done

Speak if you can hear me

They march in single file

As breathes are withheld

And you stop moving after a while

As beliefs are dispelled

Rise again if you can feel me

No more contractions or expansions

Dead eyed and still

No more decisions or distractions

Silenced by an unseen will

Lie back and sleep if you've left me

Whoa, this sent shivers down my spine. I really like the tone of this poem and the last line a lot.

Very dark, very cool. Nice work.

Morbid and fearful, yet elegant, described with a complexity and twist, from a well thought conception.

Very well written, I LOVE the whole dead yet alive feel of this write.(Metaphorically and physically) I think maybe this write should be named with an 'undead' spin to it. Perhaps it should be named "Alive In A Coffin" or something like that. But anyway superb write!(But then again, you've never disappointed me with any of your writes.)

Awesome, you don't read enough, um, horror poetry? Is that a genre? Anyway, this was really, really good.
