If I Wasn't There Anymore

If I Wasn't There Anymore

A Poem by Dark Tower
"

It will happen.

"

If I Wasn’t There Anymore

If I were to die murdered in cold blood tomorrow

I’d want you to look back at every moment we shard

I’d want you know that feelings I had for you were not hollow

I’d want you know that I only did the things because deep down I cared

I’d want you to know,

That every mistake we ever made

Is what helped me grow

I’d want you know

That every timed you smiled at me

Was a moment when I felt so in touch with my destiny

You also beat out the worst of me

And nurture the best of me

I remember moments where I didn’t even believe in me

But you were always there always encouraging me

You helped turn me into the man

That I thank God every day I grew to be

Cant even cant the number of times

I been let down

So much so that I gave up on the idea that love will day come around

When I suffer from writers block

You are the only who I can call

You never care about the numbers on the clock

And the end of it all

My only regret

Is that I didn’t say I love you more

I agree with Coyote about your portrayal of regret. But you (the narrator) are not dead yet! You can say all those things. All is not lost! ;)

I like the line about suffering from writer's block.

Oh, the beauty that is this poem. I hope that one day when God is done with me down here, that my husband will remember all the times that I called him my hero. That he will know that the one thing that I did right on this earth was to marry him. I hope! Great job, keep up the insirational superb writing.

A very good story in this poem. We always regret what we didn't say or do. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Beautiful portrait of eventuality. Nicely done, carefully chosen words. It's simply a pleasant read.
