Can’t Change The World

I wrote this about how I just want to fix the world, and two friends would tell me often that “you’re not superwoman”, so I created this poem based on those words and why they were said to me.

I lay awake at night,
Believing I can change the world,
But try as I might,
It’s one thing I can’t do


I can make a difference,
But I can’t change the world,
It’s fractured,
And I can’t fix all it’s problems

“You’re Not super Woman”,
So I’ve been told,
But maybe just for one day
Or even just one night,
I believe I can just be that
