The Sun

The Sun

A Poem by Satoshi IroTzu

The sun is not the same
 in morning, at noon,
or at sunset.
The sun's light carries us
the joy in early hours.
The sweet taste of rest
in the mid day.
But as it sets down
melancholy raises to have us in its grasp.
It whispers to us
that any day could be our last.

Excellent insight here. We are told that the sun is seen differently at different times of the day. The symbolism could be expanded to include life itself in the different phases of its cycle. We are also told to recall the impermanent nature of physical life. When we do this, gratitude for the moment can be our only response. Well done,

Interesting prospective, I have watched a flower track the sun across the sky but never though of it in the terms of your poem. Mornings light is energizing and there is nothing like a midday siesta and with the setting sun so sinks my spirits and energy. Well done, Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
