The Monsters Like My Head

I dread for my body to crawl into bed
Living life over in my head
Bringing the memories with a solid drive
Causing that fear to breath and become alive

Nightmares with pouring rain
Flashing light, angry thunder
It causes my heart so much pain
Into that dark place i plunder

The things that scream in these dreams
They betray and lock me in my head
My most feared place where it does not gleam
Instead it is of blood that continues to spread

Feelings rise from the dead
They don't like the cage where i keep them
So they dig out instead
I do not fail to condemn
