Love and Anger's Color

Two emotions, one color.

Love and Anger,

two completely different emotions,

that many agree to have nothing in common.

Yet to me emotions aren't represented

by actions but by colors,

and these two different emotions

have the same color: Red.

It is an amazing

thing to see,

something that I have

never encountered before.

Yet now even I must confess that even their

red's are different.

Love's red is a light, almost pinkish color,

that swirls in a pattern similar to

that of a spoon spinning tea in a cup.

Anger's red is a dark, hateful color,

that moves in fast, forceful movement,

like a flood rushing down a calm river.

But even if their red's are different,

they cannot exist without each other

because of this small similarity they share.

Love and Anger,

two different emotions,

intertwined by one color.

Author's Note

I was going to use Hate but to me its color is black and I decided that I wanted to use Anger instead.

I really like this a lot. I love the way you can equate the similarities in the passion between those two feelings in that they share the same color, but show the vast differences in them by explaining the hues. Excellent writing.
