HE WHO HARMS A CHILD

HE WHO HARMS A CHILD

A Poem by Darrieux

Excerpt from book Good Seed/ Bad Seed

A prince went to his father, kneeling down before his throne

Grieving “Lord I have a problem, I can’t handle on my own”

“I have just come from the garden that you planted years ago,

Now the anguish of the children…I just have to let you know.”

“I know that you are busy Lord with many worlds to tend,

But the horror of these children, none but you can ever end.”

“I have done as you have bid me and I’ve stood beside these fools,

I have seen the falls of kings and queens while breaking all your rules.”

“I’ve watched them tear your world apart with ignorance and greed,

Polluting everything they touch to suit their selfish need.”

“I’ve watched them kill your creatures in the name of sporting fun,

Using everything from poisons to the mightiest of guns.”

“I’ve seen them kill each other in great masses at a time,

I’ve seen them kill from boredom…just to simply pass the time.”

“Now all of this I’ve handled over far to many years,

But now they’re doing something that has brought your son to tears.”

“Last night while looking on the earth, I heard your people cry,

So many came together begging mercy from on high.”

“I listened to their pleadings for the children caught in Hell,

Being starved, abused and beaten…even sometimes up for sale!”

“These children need your mercy and I know that you will see,

That they’ve brought this world together asking help from you and me.”

“So I know that you will help them and save the boys and girls,

For a child to be so tortured strengthens Satan in the world.”

“Touch anyone who harms your children and you’ll help them ALL to see,

That you’ll surly show them mercy if they’ll simply let them be….”

“Yes, teach them of your mercy with great love …but all the while…

THERE IS NO PLACE THAT’S EVER SAFE, FOR HE WHO HARMS A CHILD
