Beauty of a Rose

Beauty of a Rose

A Poem by David Ellis
"

This was my first attempt at writing, I was inspired by a conversation with another mesh injured person who shared a passion for Rose's

"
The beauty of a rose, can take your breath away.
The mesh inside, does the same every day.
The scent of the Rose, brings calmness to your space.
The pain from the mesh, brings tears down my face.
I would give up all the Rose’s to be pain free once again
But the doctors tell me, my pain will still remain.

So, my friends, this is the world that I have now.
I have to carry on, but sometimes I don’t know how.
I know I’m not alone, and it shouldn’t be this way.
We must stay strong so that we can have our say.

As with the rose and the petals it does shed.
Its the same as my tears as I’m lying in my bed.
The doctors told me it’s all in my head.
I expect it will go away when finally, I am dead.

I would give up all the Roses, to be pain free once again.
But the doctors tell me, my pain will still remain.
