Crisscrossed

Crisscrossed

A Poem by Deandra Dawn
"

May not mean anything to you but it is everything to me....

"

CRISSCROSSED

Moonlight dances,

catapulting delight and
veering into the direction of

another careless indiscretion.

Warm hands and soft lips.
Averted gaze, still life.

Admissible advances are all but lost,
left to wander through an open cloud.

Seething emotion

with fulfilled denial,

adrift a grievous misdirection.
Ingenious loopholes on the rug,

she says....

Undeniable whispers are
desperately incomplete and
feathering off into the existence of forever.
A blind eye to its inevitable conclusion.

Always alluding to,
the unspoken,
miserable
connection.

Interesting piece. A feeling of being left out by one you care for, a feeling I get from this.

I loved the flow of this write somewhat racy, fast but chaotic. This was an entertaining and wonderful read. Nice work:)

you are welcome!!
Something that most of us can relate to at one time or another in our lives. Lust happens. You write amazingly well. You've captured the moment & the feeling perfectly with choice words. Great title too.

This was a wonderful read, and really it inspired me to venture deeper, this was great writing, the visuals were really there as I read through each line.

First and most importantly this write of yours "Crisscrossed" is the flippin cut lil Mz. Thang. You wrote a piece here that reads as if it molds together. Very, very well structured. Line after, line, your vocabulary usage is pin point and lends to the flow of your poem. I'll openly admit I rarely read as much as I should. With that said this poem of yours is dope, period. Fantastic, wowed me, wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it. Thanks for sharing.

LMAO.....Touché......Nice.....
Wow, this is definitely a road I think everyone walks at some point. I can still remember nights where these exact feelings lead me into a few bad and worse situations. It's a very great write! I love the ending the most, but perhaps that's because I always feel like that's what happens once it's all over, you're left with this miserable connection to someone you wish you were never connected to.

Gee
A road I drunkenly staggered along, to many times, in my youth. You write extremely well

Beautiful. Passion is definitely a two way road riddled with potholes.

It definitely is.
Brilliant. Your word usage-averted, lost, wander, adrift, misdirection, incomplete...I can feel the intense ache of the unsatisfactory. The frustration of the anticlimactic outcomes. Excellent write!!
