Forget To Forget Me Not

In changing date and time you'll lose my face

in the crepuscular depths of your failing recollections.

As my life is scattered by the winds frigid embrace

 My memory becomes a translucent breeze, to blow away the burden

of you forgetting my name. But now it makes no difference,

I'm gone from your pondering mind--

Without anyone noticing my absence.

In changing date and time,

 You'll slowly morph into the man of your endeavors.

And you'll smile in all of your pictures, as they transform into memories

That you admire, and remember, and hold dear to your heart...forever.

  While I'll be suspended on your tongue as you utter similarities

to my name, But not one word remembers me.

So I'll lay amongst the dead trees and I'll purposely forget to remind

You of my name and face as I fade,

 and you change like the date and time.
