Death

Death

A Poem by Deboleena

I asked her to laugh
and she remained silent.

I asked her to play
and she remained silent.

I asked her to love
and she remained in silence.

And in the morning I got to know
Death was the symbol of silence.

Makes one silent once you think about it, doesn't it?
Silence is something beautiful and magical.
Glad you noticed that.

You write sensory based for the first 3 verses and finish with a symbolic verse what pulls you out of the experience. You create expectation but go to abstract level to finish it so you don't have the impact.

Great job. Stay with it til the end, bring it to its logical conclusion even when it's difficult and the reward will be that greater.

Thanks for sharing.
