SleepoverA Poem by DecentlyOkayWriterI knocked on your door. . .I knocked on your door and said "The world's a bore," rolling my eyes with a sigh let's dance until the sun falls down let's dance until the moon calls "Slow down my child, it's time to rest," even though it understands how wild we surely ought' to be then we'll hide under the covers giggle and laugh until your mother says that it's time for bed it's time for us to lay our heads but we'll stare all the same the silence is too much for us we'll hold our breath until we bust into giggles again, all the same shoving our heads into the pillows to quiet our squeals we invite each other to play games before we fall asleep sugar plum fairies wielding fun in our sugary sleep we'll wake up trying not to hurl the one hundred cookies from the night before we'll stumble out onto the couch to tell jokes we've heard before cackling each time like they don't want to make us snore soon my mom calls saying it's time to go so I leave but then. . (Re-read.The never ending poem ;P)
