Heads Up

Heads Up

A Poem by Demyra
"

I'm coming down...

"

My mind dances wild within a chaotic reality,

My thoughts torn between my own violent duality.

Her lips pressed against the feeble frame that holds me sane,

Fangs sink in and I…

Heads up, I’m coming down,

Dry land, think I’ll drown,

Silence now the loudest sound,

Never lost, I could never be found.

Wading in a cesspool of thought,

I wonder what it was I fought,

(I wonder if I won?)

Ten thousand words pour out mangled,

What monkey’s tongue have I gone and strangled?

I know, I feel, I fail, I hope,

I deteriorate, I fall, I cope,

Fangs sink in and I…

Fire, cool and shimmering,

Animals make the call,

Memories forget,

What’d I see fit?

Fangs sink in and I…

Heads up, I’m coming down,

Dry land, I think I’ll drown,

Silence now the loudest sound,

Never lost, I could never be found.

Heads up, I’m coming down,

Lips pressed together to hold in a scream.

Ten thousand thoughts bite away the frame of sane,

Logical thought’s such a pain…

Fangs sink in and I growl a warning,

My foe retreats and I’m left mourning.

The day bleeds into tomorrow, sun high in the sky,

The b***h sun broke the moon’s heart, I only wonder why?

Letters jumble, the language of idiots engraved into my mind,

Understanding what I’d never find, I think I’ll bite and grind…

Fangs sink in, and I growl a warning,

My foe retreats and I’m left mourning the b***h sun casting shadows in my mind…

this is really cool Demy.

It's kinda different from what you've been writing thus far.

It has an awesome edge at the end of each stanza.

I'll be reading more tommorrow.
