Crimson Saint

Crimson Saint

A Poem by Demyra
"

We all fall down...

"

I know the sacred sin of the crimson saint.

I’ve seen angels’ wings in a blackened taint.

A lie couldn’t be closer to the truth,

Age is but a denial of numeric youth.

In this world the saint’s the biggest sinner,

Everyday our cheater becomes our biggest winner.

Our truth is a lie and our light starts to fade,

And superficial faith conceals our charade…

Our society has fallen, and angels are crying,

As we succumb to corruption and innocence is dying.

And we’re turning our head because we’re well aware,

That humanity is lost in vain and faithless prayer.

Somewhere along the line, we lost our morality,

Indulged in an indignation and denied our mortality.

Somewhere along the line we lost our only way,

And the hope of finding it dims with every day…

Do you promise me you will never lie?

A true angel’s feather never falls from the sky.

In this corrupt world I only want some peace,

In this shattered reality, everything must cease…

We’ll hold our heads high and look for heaven,

Satiated in immorality, we disregard our brethren

It’s sad to say, but the true angels are already there…

I know the sacred sin of the crimson saint.

I’ve seen angels’ wings in a blackened taint.

In this world the saint’s the biggest sinner,

Everyday our cheater becomes our biggest winner.

And we’re turning our head because we’re well aware,

That humanity is lost in vanity and faithless prayer.

We’ll hold our heads high and look for heaven,

Satiated in immorality, we disregard our brethren

It’s sad to say, but the true angels are already there…
