Forgiving the Snow

Forgiving the Snow

Forgiving the Snow

oh how i did adore to know the snow,

on you among every soul i've seen

then the snow left, it had all been for show

made me weep at the mud that has always been

when the snow continued to melt from light

i would pray there would be peace in place

but my faith was often lacking foresight

and the new mud was slapped into my face

although i searched for a new snowdrift

it was a gentle hand and a guiding eye

that clensed and filled that aweful rift

Showing me something more then i cared to spy

clensed, my heart released my bile

and i found we could once more share smiles
