Need To Stop

Need To Stop

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A quickie love poem

"
I need to stop thinking
about you in that way
But, I won't do it today

I need to stop yearning
for your sweet lips somehow
But, I'm not doing it now

I need to stop wishing
that I could hold you tight
But, I won't do it tonight

Most don't realize that even though it's mostly invisble, love is too an addictive substance. Why would I say that? Well, if I may be so bold (and satirical), I haven't taken any shrooms myself but I heard they can make you daydream about your most wild fantasies and feel an unnatural weight pulling down your stomach, similar to love (though having butterflies in your stomach isn't the same as diarrhea). So, perhaps you'd not find it so easy to quit love as how addictive it is when you've gotten the taste, but for this one addiction in particular, we do wish ourselves to indulge in it aplenty rather than quitting it. So, if you've gotten the kicks from it, why stop now?
* For legal purposes, all readers of this comment mustn't take my quotes out of context, and I am not encourage you to commit any sillies.
That being said, quite a tenderly heart-throbbing poem, author Desert Knave, quite arousing in its verses.
