Time stood still

Time stood still

A Poem by Moonflower

Across stale waters and

trembling seas

From brittle coasts and

climbing beasts

Through darkness and the

rivers wind

Implored throughout the

wane of time

No one is here to watch

them fall

No one is here, no one

at all

Emptied clouds and sordent rains

Buried cities with rusted chains

While the moon shines harsh and high

With broken hearts and thundered skies

Across the deserted lands of woe

within the caves with no echoes

No one is here, No one at all

No one was here to watch them fall

And so blood dries and

buildings fall

No one was here

No one at all

Sounds a lot like a country under nuclear attack... I know I got an erie feeling with the images this poem brought and that makes this a great poem.

outstanding !! the flow was amazing, the Images were great and the repetition was wonderful !! somehow it reminds me of Dio's song Egypt(the chains are on) and pink Floyd's Goodbye blue sky !! I don't know why is that but it does !!
great piece, well done

I felt that this poem was written on an enormous scale.
There seemed to be desperation and sorrow bleeding out
from the cracks in the earth. Every living thing seemed to
have left its weeping in the air. Witnessing the disturbing
scenes, seemed to be the writing on the wall. I wanted to
know more, but at the same time I was comfortable with it
going unsaid. I didnt know if I could take it. I felt as if the
most important thing was to have the knowledge to not let
it happen again.

Love the repetition- excellent write altogether. The imagery was beautiful and lonely, a world of things falling apart, and no one to witness. Loved it. Great write.
