I didn't mean it

I didn't mean it

A Poem by Moonflower

I told you, harshly,

that december

Breaking nails on

windshields and

burning bushes

I don't want this.

You looked at me

wrinkle eyed and

flabbergasted

I could tell you were

always

taken aback

by my random insults

and instigations

Humorous yet, unfullfilling.

I was always a sad wrap

a seed in

the wind, blowing along

with the trash and inconsistencies.

Don't let me fall inlove with you,

it would be against my

own will.

And I always thought

you took that statement

for granted.

But who can ever tell?

I didn't mean it. Yes, I did. No, I didn't. Wait, what?

This one rides the edge of darkness, cutting slightly in to let us bleed, but severing nothing to put us down. We end up wounded and hurt, but living another day to read another of your pieces.
