A Poem by Moonflower

I'll watch our love

like turning chapters,

throwing pages to the wind

I'm not sure what I am after,

So, I'll be gone, as

you read this

And don't hesitate

to hurt me,

when you find

that I am gone

Your soothing hands

were there to heal me,

but I just can't stay too long.

Don't bury me in wishes,

Don't let my frail heart die

One day,

I hope to meet him,

As I exhale that

last sigh.

turning chapters and throwing pages to the wind. Searching, looking, seeking the book that makes it all fit, that last puzzle piece. Unfortunately we have to read a lot of books before we find it, all of them giving us something, if not what we need.

Very nice piece... love the rhyme scheme. These two stanzas kind of bothered me though:

"And don't hesitate
to hurt me,
when you find
that I am gone

Your soothing hands
were there to heal me,
but I just can't stay too long."

I might consider making them smoother, or explaining more? I dunno.
Either way. Nice job. c:

a surreal story of love crossing time and space ..

I know the feeling of this poem. I left the country many times with my 15 years in the army. Leaving good woman waiting. A lucky man can get a second chance. Ain't many second chances in a life. I like the feel and emotion in the poem. When you touch and feel something real good. Hard to let go in memory or in life. A outstanding poem. I like how you say things in your words.

The wistful throws of love. We all desire to meet him, to have him heal the pain, soothe us with only the love he can give, but we never feel worthy of it. Too afraid to accept the pain with the pleasure. You describe such a reality to perfection.

"throwing pages to the wind" pretty much sums me up. always waiting to see which ones land.

oh! that's so heart-warming. I like the idea of the book and how He (your lover) can turn your pages of life that way. That's a very sweet idea.
Giving in and waiting your destiny to choose for you your future-life is also heartfelt idea :) Good one :)

I like the back and fourth style of this poem. The subject can't choose how she feels so lets everything go in a free for all.....and it works. Good one

I really like it :) Nice music and kind of an "easy listening" piece :)
Good job!
