Reap for Me

Reap for Me

A Poem by Moonflower

Would you let death wrap its silver coils

around your breath, emptying your soul in

serpentine spools

Your life like festooned yarn, unraveling

before His putrid eyes...

Or would you surrender mine instead?

This comes across as a person faced with a dilemma of selling their soul to some kind of devil, or throwing the one close to them into the fire, so to speak.

The image of the "soul emptying in serpentine spools" is very dark, devious and sinful...I love it.

The brevity serves the poem well.

Well done.

Beautiful, description is amazing! Nicely done! You did good, but it may be sure. This is something you can always always look at and say...Did I write this? Yes you did you are getting to be like Robert frost lolz jk in a good way. Sorry but he is my favorite poet, and no matter how good a person is to me. It's no Robert frost. But you are good you have GREAT potential. FANTASTIC JOB!
