I hear your thoughts

I see your mind

I know what you want

And I know you’ll come and get it

 

You’re the dominant type

That’s great

So am I

It’s a battle of the sexes

Battle of strength

Who’s stronger

Who’s wittier

And who will win

 

Come and play with me

I’m sure there are ways

We can both call it even

Or maybe I can just take the prize

And run off

 

My body is a battleground

Some parts are rougher than most

Some are tougher

And some need more work

 

My body is a playground

Toys and gadgets

Just add more fun

Dig in

Sink in

Take out

Pour out

 

Come out and play

My boy

Is your mama keeping you in?

Or are you man enough to

Come and get

What you want

And show me who the dominant one is

Or will you have the ground

Swallow you whole

And you’ll never see the light

Of a new day

Again 

Author's Note

I had something else in mind when I started writing the poem, but it trailed off. I'm going to end up writing another poem with a similar topic soon xD

I love this piece...comparing the body to a battleground--exceptional; comparing it to a playground--extraordinary. I waver between complete dominance and complete submission, depending on my mood, so I could relate to this on the whole. Very well done.

I really liked this and I can relate to it. Being a Dominant force was how I attracted my now X wife. I met her when I was stationed at camp Pendlton in southern CA. She was a beautiful girl and all these southern ca guys would try to be all cool with her try to be clever with game and I was a cocky, young Marine from South Carolina with a heavy southern accent that came on like a cross between a knight in shining armor and an angry pitbull and she loved it. "You're so, I don't know. You're just so. She used to say that to me a lot. I wasn't mean to her or anything I was direct. I was mean if a guy started sniffing up her skirt though. My story "A Jealous Ricochet" Is about that.
