Time Shall Tell

Deep heartfelt pain

I fear the thought of you crushing my soul and demolishing my heart,
Leaving me desolate and wandering around in my mind.
With no care or worry in the world other than your own,

forgetting what we once had and only remembering the bad.
Believing the horrors coming from others lying mouths,
laying in the web of deceit they have wove.
Leaving me in the pits of hell wallowing in the filth in my head,
from the pain you have left me once again!
Your promises fall through my hands like water,

not wanting to grasp onto false hopes,
I build this wall surrounding me leaving myself paranoid.
Worrying there is no end in sight to the vastness of your echo,
trembling that you might get in again,
distraught at the thought of truly letting you go.
I am a ball of seething torment,
awaiting the freedom of the truth beyond the limits I can access within
holding onto rembrandts of what only time shall tell…

This is a poem I wrote shortly after losing my first love
